I created this edition of 13 paintings based off the “Moon Room” in my immersive exhibition currently on view at the Peabody Essex Museum (PEM), and my intention was that you felt like you got to purchase a piece of the installation / connect with it, whether you have been there in person or not. The ethos of the room is the deep-hearted potential for change and transformation of water and what we can learn from this as humans. A suspended full moon is the only light source for the room and thousands of handwritten poems hang from the ceiling along with an original soundscape by my friend Ruth Mendelson (these pieces were painted playing this same soundtrack to steep them in her sounds). The space ushers in peace and power as the fluidity of everything washes over you.

Each of the 13 pieces features :

• a fluid dark blue background

• white fern in the foreground.

• hand-cut / painted dimensional wood crystal

• individually signed monogram on collected stamp

• unique secret water blessing on the back

• clear coated

• hang system on the back

Think of this purchase like you’re buying a print except each print is an original.
Each painting is similar but they’re all painted, cut, written assembled one at a time.

When you order a piece(s), I’ll select at random the piece you receive so there will be an element of surprise. The details vary between the pieces and each water blessing on the back is one of a kind. I like to think of the blessing as a message that meets you where you’re at like a horoscope; it might be reassuring, challenging or a message of introspection. Each piece is equal in quality and time, but there is a bend towards mystery by leaving which piece you receive up to me/chance.

There’s quite a bit of magic and mystery in the Moon Room at PEM and in these pieces and I hope they can remind you and prompt to in your journey of transformation, discovery, and self-evolution.
