Expååånd (Clay) :::: Canvas Banner
One of my favorite poems of all time by Rilke begins with this line,
”We live our lives in widening circles…”
This line has become a life mantra for me. You can witness it directly in rings on the water when it rains, or in tree rings, which is the hidden inner life of a tree. I believe it does us well to meditate on expansion, to see how we can become more aware. As I worked on this piece in my studio it became an image of contemplation for me, often sitting quietly in front of it to listen to the stillness before moving on to other parts of my day. May this piece offer a rich expansive quality to your life.
